Jennifer Fowler Interiors is a design studio based in Portland, Oregon and established in 2001. Rooted in a restrained, modern aesthetic, JFI’s mission is to create meaningful and enduring interior environments for a wide range of project types including high-end residential, hospitality, commercial, educational and cultural arts. Jennifer Fowler, principal and owner, was raised in the mountains of Colorado, surrounded and influenced by profound natural beauty. Her father, a graphic designer, and mother, a professional ballet dancer, instilled in her a great reverence for the arts. Jennifer studied at the New York School of Interior Design and worked for two design firms in New York City before relocating to the northwest in 1998. For the past fifteen years she has worked both independently and within local architecture firms including Allied Works Architecture and Boora Architects, contributing to a wide variety of projects including high-end residences, cultural arts facilities and educational buildings among many others. Jennifer’s love for the arts and nature, combined with her travels abroad have a significant impact on both her approach to design and her overall aesthetic; Her work is modern yet warm and restrained, and consistently reflects enduring palettes and thoughtfully curated pieces. She has a strong belief that a beautifully executed project is one where materials, furnishings and craft have both a compelling and respectful relationship to the surrounding natural and built environment. The variety and substance of her projects has resulted in a solid foundation of experience, and she has been recognized in a number of publications, including Portland Spaces, Portland Monthly and LUXE Magazine.
